Course Description

Interested in preparing great tasting healthy food and learning a little about nutrition at the same time? We've prepared a series of great classes with chefs that will expand your culinary repertoire and give insight into eating for wellness.

As a personal chef for with over 25 years experience, Alyssa Moreau has made a reputation among her clientele for creating delicious vegetarian meals. As a food lover with a strong interest in healthy diets, Alyssa combines good flavor with good nutrition and practical tips for the home cook.  

Course Outline

Desserts are sinful. But what about desserts that are good for you? If they're low-sugar, high-fiber, and made with fresh fruits, and yes, vegetables, you might earn an indulgence. So go nuts, and lemons, and carrots. For this class, Alyssa will teach you how to make an amazing avocado key lime pie, date almond cookies, black bean brownies, and a mango almond sherbet. Good and good for you.

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn to interpret recipes and use standard kitchen tools and cooking techniques to produce home style healthy dishes.
