Course Description

This course covers the structure and function of the various human organ systems to include musculoskeletal, integumentary, circulatory, respiratory, digestive, nervous and endocrine systems as they relate to massage therapy practice. Palpation skills integrated with beginning massage therapy practice is included.

Learner Outcomes

  1. Identify the structures of each organ system presented in the course.
  2. Define the function of each organ system.
  3. Describe the relationship of one organ system to another.
  4. Describe the effects of massage on the organ systems discussed.
