Course Description

Fortuna Cooley is a local personal chef with over 20 years' experience, who specializes in good cooking for clients who want to eat good, hearty, and healthy food. She spent years working at spas and restaurants in Arizona, Mexico, and California. Chef Fortuna's love of cooking comes from her Italian grandmother, who taught her to serve food that makes people smile. 

Course Outline

Yay pasta! So many of you have requested pasta and Chef Fortuna has the pasta chops (and great menu) to teach you how to make family pleasing fare. This isn't your typical pasta primavera with canned parmesan on top. Chef Fortuna will teach you how to cook penne alla Vecchia Bettola (penna pasta with vodka sauce), a tangy/savory pasta with bacon and goat cheese, and a crispy lemon garlic chicken pasta. Make sure you bring your stretchy pants to class. 

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn to interpret recipes and use standard kitchen tools and cooking techniques to produce home style dishes.
