Course Description

Chef Grant continues with his popular cooking fundamentals series. Every class begins with a lecture, followed by a cooking demonstration and then hands-on cooking! Chef Sato enjoys preparing simple, flavorful food utilizing locally grown products with an emphasis on Asian/Pacific flavor, local tastes and classic techniques.

Course Outline

Chef Grant's summer Korean series was so successful that he wanted to give you more. So this fall, we are offering more home-style Korean comfort food classes. In this class, you'll learn how to make galbitang (a rich beef short rib soup), that popular side dish, japchae "2.0" (Chef Grant's version of stir-fried potato starch noodles), and refreshing, crispy oijangaji (Korean cucumber pickles)

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn to interpret recipes and use standard kitchen tools and cooking techniques to produce home style healthy dishes.
