Course Description

Chef Grant continues with his popular cooking fundamentals series. Every class begins with a lecture, followed by a cooking demonstration and then hands-on cooking! Chef Sato enjoys preparing simple, flavorful food utilizing locally grown products with an emphasis on Asian/Pacific flavor, local tastes and classic techniques. 

Course Outline

Chef Grant has been traveling regularly to Korea in recent years and his knowledge and technique with Korean cuisine have really taken off. We'll be making a few of his favorite street vendor dishes that are tasty and easy to make at home, like savory bindaetteok (mung bean pancakes), spicy Korean mochi stew (tteokbokki) "2.0", and dakkochi (Korean chicken skewers). 

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn to interpret recipes and use standard kitchen tools and cooking techniques to produce home style healthy dishes.
