Course Description

Interested in preparing great tasting healthy food and learning a little about nutrition at the same time? We've prepared a series of great classes with chefs that will expand your culinary repertoire and give insight into eating for wellness. 

As a personal chef for with over 25 years experience, Alyssa Moreau has made a reputation among her clientele for creating delicious vegetarian meals. As a food lover with a strong interest in healthy diets, Alyssa combines good flavor with good nutrition and practical tips for the home cook. 

Course Outline

If you're feeling ono for Chinese food and want to keep it simple and healthy, Alyssa's got the menu for you! For this easy after work meal, we'll be making a spicy black bean stir fry with a medley of mushrooms and peppers, stir-fried seasoned chow fun (with fresh noodles from Chinatown), a vegan version of the classic hot and sour soup, and for dessert, what else, but almond float with a fruit compote

Learner Outcomes

Students will learn to interpret recipes and use standard kitchen tools and cooking techniques to produce home style healthy dishes.
