Course Description

SkillsCommons IMPACTcommunity Ambassadors are community members who consistently put educational innovations into practice by

1. Working with SkillsCommons IMPACTcommunity Communications and Community Program Manager, community members, and in partnership with innovative technology, Ambassadors help design and produce material for use and reuse that others can easily access to overcome challenges.
2. Mentoring other IMPACTcommunity members in creating, adopting, and/or adapting innovative communication methodology through blogs, live and archived events, industry journal articles, and others.
3. Lead the building of the IMPACTcommunity by supporting the IMPACTcommunity membership developing, sharing, adopting, and sustaining exemplary practices as well as publically recognizing and promoting the accomplishments of the IMPACTcommunity, the adoption of SkillsCommons, and increasing people’s knowledge about OER.

Across all of the above three strategies, the IMPACTcommunity Ambassadors are to be exemplary leaders and communicators whose goal is to increase awareness and use of community OER products and processes and in doing so assists in problem solving large scale, common challenges found in workforce training efforts.
