Course Description

Food Gifts? Food Products? Do you have the right Packaging & Design for your product?
This class takes and engaging hands-on approach and the step-by-step creative process of ideation to the designing of a functional yet aesthetically appealing product and label that integrates required FDA labeling information, introduces you to various types of packaging, and sourcing of economical packaging. Participants will gain valuable feedback, assessment/evaluation of their own product, and have an opportunity to review successful Made in Hawai’i products.

Instructor
Wailani Artates, was born and raised on the island of Maui and attended the Pacific Northwest College of Art and The Art Institute of Portland. Prior to the launch of Artistry8 in 2009, Wailani was an environmental and communications designer for Ziba Design in Portland, Oregon and a senior designer for Dogtowne Design on Maui.
