TRAD2026 - Marine Welding Technology Program
Course Description
Upon successful completion of this training, the student should be able to perform fundamental welding with the following welding processes: Oxy Fuel Cutting, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW). All welds will be tested according to marine industry standards. The training certification will provide the student an opportunity to enter the ship repair industry as an entry-level welder.
Beyond learning about the different welding processes, the student will also be introduced to Blueprint Reading, OSHA 10 and Workmanship Training as it relates specifically to the maritime shipping industry.
