Do you have a digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera, a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera (MILC), or a bridge camera that you only use in the AUTO mode? This hands-on introductory workshop will teach you how to set it up, teach you about the camera's other shooting modes and how to use them to take your photography to the next level. Work with the instructor in learning how to set up your camera to get the best results. In the second meeting, practice shooting with the instructor (and possibly a model) to learn by doing. Learn what the aperture priority and shutter speed priority modes are, when and how to use them, and how to control the exposure to assure that you capture quality images.
NOTE: Participants will need their own digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera, mirrorless interchangeable lens camera (MILC), or bridge camera. Don't forget to charge the battery and bring a memory card. Ideally, participants will bring their tripod too - a tripod is needed for the second meeting.
