Course Description

This course is one of multiple courses required to provide participants with the academic coursework required by Hawaii Revised Statute HRS 448E in order to be eligible to take the electrical journey worker licensing examination. In order to be eligible to sit for the EJ licensing exam with DCCA, participants must submit proof of completion of their academic coursework, along with at least 5 years and 10,000 hours of work experience. Participants will gain foundational skills in electrical safety as well as the required subjects in AC/DC theory, motors and motor control, NEC, and transformers. Upon successful completion of program students will be given a Certificate for submission to the DCCA.
