Course Description

This class explores hospitality careers specifically related to the culinary arts industry. Includes a wide view on professional employment, educational preparation, culinary professionalism, human nutrition, culinary terminology, applied math and measurement, knife skills, basic culinary equipment, culinary ingredients, basic cooking skills, kitchen organization, and industry sanitation standards. On successful completion, students will receive a Certificate of Professional Development (CPD) and Food Handler certification good for 3 years.
