Course Description

What’s all that STEAM about? There’s a bit of STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) in many a good book. Put on your engineer hat as you construct a bird nest as in Where’s My Nest. Don your mathematician hat as you use estimation as you read Elmer. Stretch your artistic self as you create your own images like in It Looks Like Spilt Milk. This class will pull out those “STEAMing” elements from such favorite children’s stories and use them as springboards for fun activities and projects.

Materials fee: $20
Materials requested: Apron or old t-shirt. School box with leftover school supplies.
