Course Description

Learn about the types and tools of Investments. This course will introduce you to portfolio products such as stocks, bonds, options which are publicly traded; then cover long-term annuities. Long-term vehicles such as: 401K, 459, IRAs, ROTH IRAs, SEP-IRAs will be examined for their strengths and weaknesses as well as applicability; then alternative investments such as 7702 plans which are facilitated thru dividend-paying whole life insurance will be compared to the traditional products; and finally cover real estate as an investment, both as a home to live in as well as income property.

Learner Outcomes

Learn to recognize, describe, and access the types of Investments which meet an individuals' short and long-term investment objectives, as well as retirement planning. Learn how to set up a dummy stock account so you can practice buying and selling. Learn the advantages of using insurance vehicles both the traditional type and the delayed annuity types. Learn the jargon and be comfortable discussing your goals and opportunities which qualified risk manager, be they stockbrokers or insurance agents, so that you can plan your financial future.
