Course Description

You will learn about local ocean safety principles and practices; historical, cultural, and customary practices of Hawai‘i's ocean users; and rules regarding protected species and thrill craft operation in Hawai‘i. Effective January 2005 all recreational thrill craft (personal watercraft) operators must complete this certification class on the safe use and operation of a thrill craft. This course is offered on the island of Kauai.

Recreational Thrill Craft Operator Safety Education
Learn about local ocean safety principles and practices; historical, cultural, and customary practices of Hawaii's ocean users; and rules regarding protected species and thrill craft operation in Hawaii. Effective January 2005 all recreational thrill craft (personal watercraft) operators in Hawaii must complete this certification class on the safe use and operation of a thrill craft.


*Pre-Requisite: Completion of Safe Boating In Hawaiian Waters or Equivalent Hawaii State NASBLA-approved class.

YOU MUST SHOW PROOF THAT YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY TAKEN THE PREREQUISITE SAFE BOATING COURSE at  https://www.boat-ed.com/hawaii/
YOU MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF COURSE COMPLETION/SAFE BOATING NUMBER  TO OCET OFFICE BY FRIDAY, OCTOBER 14TH.
