Course Description

Balance in the design of a garden will radiate harmony and outdoor spaces where we feel beauty, peace & are at ease and uplifted. Whether you are rethinking a garden, interested in a landscape design, have an interest in a water feature, colors & symbolic plant suggestions, Ann Marie can help you create a vibrant physical environment.

Course Outline

  • What is Feng Shui especially for the garden- includes history, approach & purpose

  • The Yin and Yang of the garden

  • Symbolic meanings of some plants & use of the five elements

  • Explanation of the Bagua

  • Methods of minor additions to the design of the garden such as lighting, sound color, etc.

  • Role of intention when making a change in the design

  • Aspects of the perfect adjustment

  • Breaking down into teams to look at different projects together

  • Making suggestions or giving insights about the project to each other

  • By the end of the class, participants will come away with more awareness & ideas about how change the design or improve their project
