Course Description

This introductory course will guide participants step-by-step through case-based projects. Participants will build a solid foundation using Microsoft Excel 2013 to analyze data, format and edit worksheets and use several basic functions. Participants will learn to work with multiple worksheets, tables, and incorporate visual elements into the worksheets.

Learner Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
1. Create and design a spreadsheet for general office use.
2. Demonstrate the basic mechanics and navigation of an Excel spreadsheet.
3. Demonstrate formatting techniques and presentation styles.
4. Demonstrate the use of basic functions and formulas.

Prerequisites

Keyboarding Basics (COM5090), Introduction to Computers and Windows (COM5100) or prior experience.
