Course Description
COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course introduces students to the basic skills included in the martial arts that includes; etiquette, movement, punching, kicking, blocking, and self-defense (some grappling will be incorporated). Mechanics of hard/striking (Karate, Tae Kwon Do) and soft/grappling (Jujitsu, Aikido) styles of the martial arts will be developed as well as some weapons (Escrima sticks). Participation in the class will require the development of flexibility, endurance, strength, coordination, and concentration.Learner Outcomes
