Course Outline
Discuss the Profile of an Active Shooter.
Present indicators of potential violence by an employee, student, or staff.
Discuss protocols to assess potential stressors exhibited by employees, students and the public.
Define and Discuss Mental Health components of Employee and Students of Concern.
Define the 4 Categories of Workplace Violence as defined by the FBI.
Define “What is Workplace Violence”
Discuss and present options to formulate Workplace Violence Programs.
Discuss and review past and recent Active Shooter incidents and lessons learned.
Discuss and present the U.S. Secret Service Threat Assessment Criteria.
How to form Crisis Management Teams – Bringing HR, Counselors, Mental Health Care Practitioners, Security, Law Enforcement and Management together as a Crisis Assessment Team.
Discuss Threat Assessment and Crisis Assessment Team Protocols to prevent violence in the workplace or school. Hands On practical exercises to defend against an armed or Active Shooter with demonstrations.
Discuss Department of Homeland Security and FBI Active Shooter Threat Mitigation Best Practices.
