As part of our Dementia Care Series this class is recommended for caregivers of a friend or family member with Dementia. The instructor will cover the GEMS model, which recognizes the dynamic nature of the human brain and its abilities. Additionally, the instructor will cover a positive look at dementia stages and appropriate activities for the different GEMS.
Student Learning Outcomes:
1). Students will be able to identify a GEM.
2). Students will be able to come with activities fro different GEMS.
This course could be taken as part of the Dementia Care Series Bundle. The bundle is listed under ENR3186.
