Course Description

Students will utilize basic materials and technical procedures with applied art principles to explore canvas painting.

Objective: The objective of the course is for students to be able to comprehend and apply the visual elements of line, shape, light and shadow, color, texture, space, the design principle of repetition, along with balance, contrast, variation and unity while painting on canvas.

Learner Outcomes

Student Learning Outcomes:

1). Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of painting materials.

2). Students will be able to demonstrate the use of different paint mediums, procedures and terminology.
