Course Description

Further development of your talent includes the use of computer to  continue to bring professional look and feel to your work. 

"What does it take to be a cartoonist?  How do I make ‘funny’ drawings and art?  What kinds of pens, pencils and papers do I use?   Where can I use my cartoons?  What is this thing called “rejection”? Can I make a lot of money being a cartoonist? These questions and so many more will be answered in the continuing education program The Art of the Cartoon with Paul Reynolds.   The student will be led in developing skills in creating humor (what is Funny?) in a 2D environment .  Drawing basics , exercises in developing a cartoonist’s vision and creating and honing the students own drawing style.  Discovering the cartoonist’s tools, how to use them, how to build a library of gags, reference sources, setting up single panel humor and strip humor, basics in caricature drawing and political cartooning, and the use of the computer in your work."

Participants must have already taken The Art of Cartooning (Intro)
