Course Description
Course Title: Lamaze Certified Childbirth Preparation
Experience a hands on, FUN, interactive, and experiential group class!
Learn light stretches and body movement for optimal fetal positioning before and during birth.
This is a non-comparative, non-judgemental, friendly environment to gain knowledge about you and your partners pregnant body.
We particularly focus on “How the Amazing Uterine Muscle Works” with a fascinating physiology of human labor and birth.
Mothers will understand to become connected with their own wisdom, to give birth in her own unique way.
Partners will become confident in their ability to provide comfort to support the Mothers.
Together you will develop positive outcomes and memories of the birth journey.
Learn the parameters, stages and phases of labor and birth. You will develop and practice labor rehearsals in the comfort of your home.
We will cover questions about medicated and unmedicated labor options.
The optimal time to sign up is NOW. Plan the class during your 28th to 34th weeks of pregnancy.
Limited class size is limited to 6 couples for personalized instruction and attention.
Bring your own wWater and Lunch for a 20 minute break.
Bring 2 pillows and a mat, towel or blanket for floor time. Wear comfy clothes!
About Mary Jane P. Bennett IBCLC LCCE CD(DONA) ECE
Mother of Four, In her 15th year serving the Maui Birthing Community, Mary Jane P. Bennett has been a treasured resource for Maui families, sharing her knowledge, experience, compassion, kind, warm, and caring open heart with families in the childbearing years.
Graduate of Saddleback College of California in Early Childhood Development. Prior to moving to Maui from California, Mary Jane became a Doula of North America International Certified Birth Doula. She is Lamaze Certified to teach Childbirth and Breastfeeding Classes and is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant.
In addition to teaching, Mary Jane makes house calls, home visits and is available for private consultation.
