COM3041 - Google Suite for the Workplace
Course Description
Google provides a wide array of free online tools that allow you to collaborate and communicate more effectively in your workplace. Come learn how Google Drive, Gmail, Google Hangouts, Google Docs, Google Sheet and Google Slides can help you do this. Participants who complete this course will have the knowledge and skills to take the G Suite Certification Exam, an online exam created by Google to certify mastery of these tools for the workplace. Completion of the G Suite Certification Exam is not a requirement for this course.Learner Outcomes
By the end of the course, the participants will be able to:
- create, manage and share Google Drive files
- manage Gmail inbox and contacts
- schedule and conduct meetings in Google Hangout
- Create, format and share Google Docs
- Create, format and share Google Sheets
- Create, format and share Google Slides
- Input and schedule meetings in Google Calendar
Notes
An additional optional session will be provided at the end of the course to allow the participants to take the exam.

Prerequisites
Students should have access to a computer and internet to complete assignments online.
Students should have previous experience accessing the internet and know how to navigate websites.
Students should have Adobe Reader installed on their device to view the course materials.
- Access to a more recent model desktop or laptop, either Windows or Mac or Android or Apple mobile device.
- Reliable high-speed (cable or DSL) Internet connection.
- Recommended: webcam, headset with microphone, if your device does not already have a webcam and microphone.
