Course Description

Maui faces numerous challenges: impacts of climate change, increasing pressures on infrastructure and our natural environment, food insecurity, vulnerable water resources, and an urgent need for community-directed economic development. Environmental care, social responsibility, and good governance (ESG) investing is an $11 trillion industry that addresses these challenges, and investors – who spent billions in our islands just last year – can make transparent and measurable ESG commitments that support the transition to a sustainable Maui.

Join us for lunchtime discussions about how the community can encourage ESG Investment in: Renewable Energy (scheduled for September 26), Agriculture, Affordable Housing, Intellectual Property and Sustainable Business Corporations.

Meetings are held every other Thursday (9/26, 10/10, 10/24, 11/7, 11/21) All classes will be held in Laulima 225 except the 10/24/19 class which will be held in Laulima 214.
