INTL3088 - OCET-INTL STP Kagoshima Prefectural College Intensive English and Hawaiian Cultural Program (FY20)
Course Description
Kapi`olani Community College will provide a unique 6-days of English and Hawaiian Cultural Program for the students of Kagoshima College. The program will focus on English language and various aspects of Hawaiian culture. Lectures will be conducted primarily in English with Japanese interpretation when necessary. The program includes various site visits to significant places such as Kamehameha V Judiciary Center, I`olani Palace and USS Missouri.
Student Learning Outcomes:
By the end of program, the students will be able to:
1). Describe the basic principles and concepts of Hawaiian culture;
2). Demonstrate an example of Hawaiian culture, including lei making, ukulele and dance;
3). Apply the knowledge of English language concepts and skills in actual classroom and interview setting.
