Course Description

This program is designed to prepare participants to enter the workforce with the tools and skills needed to make good work-related decisions, habits, and professional ethnics.

This basic preparation course is geared towards individuals who are new to the workforce or those seeking to advance beyond entry-level positions.

This is a 40-hour online course with real-time online Zoom meetings and independent learning.

 

ZOOM REAL-TIME CLASS MEETINGS

Session 5: 12/1 - 24/20, Tu & Th, 4-6 pm

The Workplace Essential Series (WES) blends 7 self-paced WES courses using mixed real-time and independent learning sessions to be delivered via Zoom and Canvas. Course is delivered in a 4-week schedule with 2 Zoom meetings per week, 2 hours per meeting, totaling 16 hours scheduled class time. In addition, students will complete about 6 hours per week of independent learning with online Canvas modules.

REQUIRED TECHNOLOGY

  • Active email address per participant (no sharing)
  • Desktop computer and laptop computer with camera, microphone & speaker for video conferencing
  • Access to high speed internet (min. 512k)
  • Zoom app
  • Most recent updated browsers
