Course Description

This course covers the fundamentals of AutoCAD. Students will learn how to navigate the AutoCAD user interface and gain familiarity with basic terminology, fundamental features and “logic” of the software. You’ll be able to draw with commands and techniques for creating, manipulating, editing, storing and presenting technical drawings. You will manage objects with layers, add dimension, annotation and work tables/schedules, work with layouts, plot and print, and much more. Whether you are an aspiring CAD/CAM professional or revisiting the latest software, this is the foundation you’ll need in AutoCAD. By the end of the course, you will become a proficient user and have an useful and relevant understanding of the program to make you a more powerful user.  

 

Prep: Must have a basic understanding of technical drawings, blueprint reading, and ability to confidently use a recent Windows operating system
