TRAN4404 - CDL Permit Test Prep
Course Description
This course covers the principles of safe driving and state/federal regulations governing the operation of a commercial motor vehicle on public roads. Participants will receive an orientation to the Commercial Driver License (CDL) and preparation for the general knowledge, air brake, combination, and/or hazmat endorsement tests needed to obtain a Commercial Driver License (CDL) Permit to operate a class A or B Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV). Effective April 30, 2014, all students must attain their permit prior to the start of road training.

Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Identify, inspect and assess a truck's critical items for safe operating conditions.
Prerequisites
1. Must be at least 21 years of age.
2. Must possess a valid driver's license.
3. Must submit proof of clear driving abstract.
