Course Description

Discover assistive technology and accessibility solutions, highlighting devices available for loan at no cost. Technology for vision, hearing, communication, and learning will be demonstrated. Learn how your Assistive Technology Resource Center can support your student.

Speaker Bio:

Hannah Diaz is the Assistive Technology Specialist with the Assistive Technology Resource Centers of Hawaii (ATRC) and has been with ATRC since 2018. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Hannah is passionate about caring for her community. She feels that everyone deserves to be the best version of themselves and sees assistive technology as an opportunity for people to do so. 

As an Assistive Technology Specialist, Hannah works with individuals with disabilities to provide information about and modeling assistive technology devices consistent with the person’s goals. She also works directly with clients on device and software training and enjoys the creativity involved in finding solutions.

Learner Outcomes

By the end of the webinar, participants will:

  1. identify three tools that they already have access to that promote an inclusive learning environment.

  2. identify how to access assistive technology loans for trial, evaluation, education, or professional development
