Course Description

Congratulations—you have found the “right” assistive technology! In the third of a three-part series, discover how to implement your technology plan for success in school, employment, and community. 

Speaker Bio:

Barbara Fischlowitz-Leong is Executive Director of Assistive Technology Resource Centers of Hawai`i. She is an internationally and nationally recognized advocate for persons with disabilities. She is responsible for drafting Hawai`i’s Warranty Act, protecting purchases of assistive technology in the state. She is also a consultant to various state departments and legislators on disability and assistive technology issues.

Learner Outcomes

By the end of the webinar, participants will:

  1. Identify three indicators of quality assistive technology implementation.

  2. Identify three strategies that can overcome barriers to successful assistive technology implementation

  3. Identify sources of training needed for successful implementation.
