Course Description

A hands-on accounting course designed to help students apply the knowledge of the accounting process to a computerized environment using an electronic spreadsheet.

Enrollment in this course through EDvance is a non-credit option, however, course is available for credit. In order to receive college credit, participants must successfully complete course with a "C" or better.

Hybrid (Combination of F2F and Online): Part of the class will meet on campus, either in-person or in a VideoConference room, at the scheduled days, times, and room. The remaining class instruction and learning activities will be online, either Synchronously at the days and times listed (using software such as Zoom, Google Hangouts, RealPresence, etc. Students must have a working camera and microphone), or posted on a site such as Laulima without specific meeting times.

Required: Access to a PC or Mac with Internet and Excel 2021 or 365.

Required: Access to a PC or Mac with Internet and Excel 2019 or 365. The PC version is highly recommended due to compatibility issues with the Mac version of Microsoft Excel.

Online Unscheduled (Asynchronous): This class is conducted completely online and does not have specific meeting times. Students should go to https://laulima.hawaii.edu and log in with their UH username and password on or 1-2 days before the first class date.
