Course Description

The intent of this half-day, lecture course is to provide a high-level overview of IPv6 capabilities and reasons for transitioning from IPv4 to IPv6. The course starts with a historical overview for context discussing the status and limitations of IPv4 and features of IPv6. Other topics include transition mechanisms, IPv6 security issues, and migration to IPv6. This short overview is targeted to managers and executives who desire a broader perspective.
