Course Description

Customized 20-hour classes can be arranged to meet your schedule. Learn how to TIG, MIG, arc, or gas weld as your schedule permits. You will first review basic safety procedures, equipment set-up, proper use and care of equipment and welding techniques before welding. Schedule your 20 hours of instruction during the following dates and hours. Please remember to bring the required tools to the first class meeting. (Preparation for D1.1 Welding Test and Welding D1.1 Test are only 6 hours long.) Course Competencies: At the end of this course the student will be able to: • Display proper welding safety procedures • Discuss proper set-up, use and care of welding equipment • Weld using TIG welding • Weld using MIG welding • Weld using arc welding • Weld using gas welding
