Course Description

Kapi`olani Community College will provide a unique 1-day Online Intensive Hawaiian Culture Program for the students of Yokohama City University on August 23, 2021 (HST).  This online program is designed for the students to understand Hawaiian cultural values including Kuleana (responsibility), laulima (collaboration) and lokahi (unity) for pursuing their professional career to improve community health.  The students are to extend their horizons and to prepare for working as Registered Nurses with international perspectives.

Learner Outcomes

By the end of the program, the students will be able to:

1).  Define traditional Hawaiian people's lifestyle in community.

2).  Describe which Hawaiian value(s) the student will apply when she works as a Registered Nurse.
