Course Description

An intensive two-day immersion workshop designed for new and aspiring supervisors, as well as leads and part-time supervisors without a great deal of authority. This course is designed to help individuals overcome many of the problems encountered in the first few weeks in the role, and provide them with skills to launch them as successful leaders. Through a highly interactive program, participants will learn skills to ask for clarity around the role and responsibility of their new job; adjust to their new role; develop listing, communication, conflict resolution and feedback skills; and work through challenges like hostility, complaints and low motivation.

Learner Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course participants will be able to:

  1. Discover the benefits of developing a support network of connections
  2. Understand how building relationships can help you develop your business base
  3. Learn how to apply communication techniques to build your network
  4. Identify the key elements in strong working relationships, and how you might put more of these elements in your working relationships
  5. Recognize the key interpersonal skills and practice using them
