Course Description

This one-day workshop is an introductory tool for your leadership development. It is designed to help you create and accomplish your personal best, and to help you lead others to get extraordinary things done. It helps you discover how your new role is different from other roles you have had. Core skills like communication, body language, delegation, meetings, and time management are covered. Learn how to build trust, manage change, apply SWOT analysis and problem solving, and give effective, constructive feedback. Leadership is about building good relationships.

Learner Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course participants will be able to:

  1. Define your role as a manager and identify how that role differs from other roles you they’ve had;
  2. Understand the management challenge and the new functions of management;
  3. Discover how to prepare for and embrace the forces of change;
  4. Identify ways to get the workspace organized;
  5. Identify leadership profile and explore ways to use this knowledge to improve success as a manager;
  6. Enhance ability to communicate with others in meetings and through presentations.
