Course Description

This course will cover the basics of irrigation system operations and maintenance: terminology, theory, materials, and equipment for the most efficient delivery of water to the plants and how to keep the system working at its best level of performance. This course will provide a foundation of solid irrigation princples which supplement and enhance the landscape field events.

Learner Outcomes

1. Have a basic understanding of various types of irrigation systems and how systems operate.

2. Able to program and schedule irrigation to meet system water requirements

3. Able to address landscape field 'events' and maintain properly working systems. Lectures, discussions, hands-on problem solving methodology will be introduced so that student understanding is able to be demonstrated in group discussions.
